I have lived in the DDSD since 2016. I have been a DDSD parent since 2019 when my eldest child started Kindergarten at Earl Boyles Elementary. I now have two children there in fifth and second grades. I look forward to joining the Ron Russell Middle School community next year when my eldest becomes a sixth grader.

In service to the Lewis & Clark College Support Staff Association, Local 4912 AFT-Oregon, I served as Vice President for Communications (2 years), President (4 years, term limit), and Vice-President (2 years). As President I was the lead negotiator for three bargaining agreements that were each worth several million dollars in compensation and benefits.

I love our DDSD community and I love:

• Coaching David Douglas Community Sports 3rd - 5th grade volleyball (3 years!)

• Coaching with the David Douglas Soccer Club (3 years!)

• Volunteering at Earl Boyles

Children deserve an education, regardless of economic status. A quality public education ensures our beautiful children are prepared to flourish as wonderful adults and citizens of the world.

I have marveled at the brave leadership of DDSD:

• Navigating the Covid-19 pandemic

• Supporting our immigrant families

• Refusing to dismiss and undermine our BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities

Rather than hide while our community is threatened, I want to leverage my privilege in service to the prosperity and safety of our local community.
